Set in the northern reaches of the Okavango Delta, Kadizora Camp has a prime location among the savannah floodplains, lagoons, and waterways that are so characteristic of one of Africa’s most beautiful landmarks and the world’s largest inland delta.
Sandwiched between the Vumbura River and the Selinda Spillway (permanent water sources that support large numbers of wildlife), the camp is accessible only by light aircraft and has access to both river systems which can be explored by boat or canoe. Head out for a sunset cruise and see baby elephants swimming with just their trunks visible, or listen to the gurgling of hippos as they prepare to emerge from the river for the night.
Back at the camp, spend the remainder of your evening reliving the excitement of the day and chatting with your passionate guide over a home-cooked meal. On your morning safari, you will head out on a game drive to track lions, leopards, cheetahs, wild dogs, hyenas, giraffes, zebra, and more. The varied landscape allows you to experience semi-desert sands, dense Mopani woodlands as well as marshy floodplains.
Kadizora Camp offers a good selection of activities. Classic game drives are complemented by guided nature walks and after dark you can track nocturnal creatures on a night drive. Kadizora is one of the only places in the Delta where you can enjoy a hot-air balloon ride, while facilitated visits to the local village allow you to connect to the culture of this incredible landscape. Water-based activities include canoeing in traditional mekoro, boating, and birding.
