Set on a remote 43,000-acre privately owned ranch in Laikipia, Siruai Mobile Camp is a safari that captures the essence of the authentic and off-the-beaten-track. Sustainability is a way of life at Siruai Mobile Camp, from implementing low-carbon emitting practices and reducing waste to planting indigenous seeds that preserve Kenya’s forests. These green footprint initiatives allow you to be a part of preserving the pristine landscapes of Africa, making your safari spend matter in the era of conscious journeys.
Siruai translates to ‘eland’ (the world’s largest antelope) in the Maasai language, and you will often see these bashful herbivores at camp - noted for their long, black, twisted horns and distinctive white stripes. If you’re in search of some safari bigwigs, the Laikipia region is a stronghold for black rhinos and is home to more than half of Kenya’s total population, as well as some steadily expanding populations of wild dogs.
Your days will be spent on game drives, walking trails, scaling boulders, kayaking, chasing waterfalls and rock pools, or simply taking in the exquisite landscapes around you. Your luxury canvas tent is the perfect retreat after days spent exploring this untamed wilderness in search of its wild inhabitants. Your evenings are reserved for shared tales of adventure around a roaring fire and under pollution-free skies, where the stars are free to shine in all their glory.

Exclusive Use
All luxury canvas tents have en-suite flushing lavatories and bucket showers. The tents have been nestled between fig trees and ancient, granite boulders, complete with private verandas. The verandas offer sweeping views that extend out across to Mount Kenya in the distance and over the Ewaso Narok River. This is a land of sacred Maasai history- a surreal destination to soak up the beauty of central Kenyan wilderness.
Facilities
Siruai Mobile Camp prides itself on being a place to disconnect and recharge in nature. There is no Wi-Fi, but the campsite does have a limited signal and offers charging facilities for phones and cameras. A main guest tent welcomes all to enjoy an organic feast or connect with other travelers and wildlife enthusiasts.
Dining
Dining takes place in the main guest tent, central to the campsite, or on alfresco under African skies. Lunch tables are prepared in the bush to greet you after morning activities. Dining at Siruai Mobile Camp is inspired by Kenyan flavours and meals are cooked over an open flame. All ingredients are sourced locally or grown and harvested onsite, following the ‘thoughtful food’ initiative to live sustainably and reduce waste, whilst supporting local farmers and community members.
