Highlights
Activities
An adventurer's dream, Kanga Camp has an authentic bush feel. At night, you can choose to have the canvas sides of your tent completely opened up to bring in the sounds, smells, and essence of the Zimbabwean wilderness. You may not want to leave camp during the dry season, as the watering hole is a constant source of game-viewing
Rooms
Standard Tent
The six Meru-style tents are located under jackal berry trees on raised decks for an elevated view of Kanga Pan. These accommodate a maximum of 12 guests at a time and include two honeymoon suites.
Each tent has its own private veranda and open-air outdoor bathroom comprising a flush toilet and rustic shower, as well as a washbasin with hot and cold running water. There is no roof over the bathroom – the whole of it is open to the sky and birdsong, which makes for very charming ablutions.
Facilities
The main relaxation area is built on raised decking, under the shade of ancient Jackalberry trees. It overlooks the splash pool and Kanga pan, where abundant game can be viewed. Underneath the decking of the main lodge, there is a hide with two armchairs that allow you to view game activity over the pan.
Dining
Home-cooked meals are enjoyed around a communal table that is also shared by the rangers and guides. By prior arrangements, guests can also elect to dine alfresco in the bush.
