Jongomero Bush Manor is an exclusive-use manor ideally set on a seasonal sand river in the heart of Ruaha National Park - Tanzania's second-largest national park and best-kept secret. Known for large concentrations of elephants, prolific big cat sightings, and its untouched expanse, Ruaha provides thrilling game viewing away from the crowds. With the ultimate flexibility of a dedicated staff and expert guide, you can curate your days under their knowledgeable guidance.
If you're visiting in the dry months, head out on enthralling walking safaris in the cool dawn air, one of the most fascinating ways to experience Ruaha. Game drives (available year-round) are exceptional, as each outing brings new experiences and excitement. If you are looking for something a bit more adventurous, Jongomero offers fly camping when the bush is driest, usually between mid-July to mid-November. This unforgettable experience combines game walks, camping in the open air or in a comfortable dome tent, and a special meal cooked over the campfire enjoyed under the stars.
This safari home-away-from-home is perfect for friends traveling together or a family looking for flexibility and exclusivity. With easy access by light aircraft from Nyerere National Park or Dar Es Salaam, this oasis provides a memorable sojourn in a Southern Tanzania safari circuit.

Exclusive Use Bush House
Two spacious rooms connect to the main lodge area on either side to form Jongomero Bush Manor. Tastefully designed in contemporary African style, traditional canvas sides provide the authenticity of a safari tent. Raised on a wooden deck and covered by the large thatch roof extending over the Manor, there is a buffer between the tent and the wild elements. Combining tasteful opulence with natural finishes to complement the surroundings, both rooms are identical with a private deck and en-suite bathroom. Each is furnished with an oversized rain shower and a large brass bathtub for luxurious soaks.
Facilities
Perhaps the most enticing feature at the Manor would be the large infinity pool, where guests can refresh, relax, or stretch out their muscles with a few leisurely laps.
Be as active or inactive as you'd like, as there is the opportunity for either. Choose one of the peaceful spots to lounge and soak in the sights and sounds of the bush, read a book, or just sit back and relax while meals or drinks are being prepared for you.
Dining
Designed with mealtimes in mind, Jongomero Bush Manor has diversity and flexibility in their dining setups. Breakfast is usually in the dining area which looks out toward the riverbed - where you would likely spot a passing herd of elephants and other game as they forage for their morning meal. Lunch can be taken at your leisure in the dining area, on the deck, or perhaps under the shade of the acacia tree and pergola on the pool deck.
For most of the year, dinner is served out on the sand riverbed for a lantern-lit affair surrounded by wild acacia woodland. There is little that beats the thrill of welcoming the evening with delicious cuisine, and the soft light of lanterns, moon, and stars - all in the wild expanse of the African wilderness.
