Tarangire Treetops sits alone in a private game reserve that is home to buffalo, lion, cheetah, leopard, and elephant. The lodge consists of treehouses positioned on a hill with views of Lake Manyara and the Rift Valley wall.
You can spend your days enjoying game drives in the nearby national park in specially designed 4x4 vehicles with knowledgeable and entertaining driver guides. Night drives are also available and will provide you with a different view of the diverse inhabitants of the bush.
Walking safaris are conducted by armed, highly trained, and knowledgeable guides and give you the opportunity for an 'up close and personal' adventure. Between game-viewing activities at Tarangire Treetops, you can visit the local Maasai villages or relax by the pool overlooking the waterhole in the camp.
The perfect way to complete a day's safari is at the Baobab Bar, built around a gracious old baobab tree, where you can enjoy a refreshing cocktail while watching an incredible Tarangire sunset.

The lodge offers elevated rooms with perhaps some of the biggest bedrooms in East Africa. Beautifully furnished with locally-made pieces, Treetops' rooms create a warm and welcoming ambiance. The tree house experience is enhanced by the open-fronted design of the rooms, delivering incredible views over the Tarangire landscape. Bathrooms are en suite and feature double showers.
Facilities
The main lodge, wrapped around an ancient Baobab tree features an expansive deck supporting an open-sided lounge and dining area. The lodge is decorated in local materials, African artifacts and reclaimed wood creating a rustic yet stylish atmosphere. A small curio shop is situated behind the reception area. Below the lounge and dining room is a peaceful swimming pool deck, an ideal place to relax with a good book and escape the African heat.
Dining
The creative menus at Tarangire Treetops try, wherever possible, to use locally sourced produce and draw on international themes with a modern twist on classic dishes. The dining area with its thatched roof and open sides provides a peaceful setting. Dinners are often moved to the traditional Boma with its roaring campfire or around the swimming pool, lit by candles. Exotic bush breakfasts are also available. Enjoy a meal surrounded by beautiful African wilderness for a dining experience you are sure to remember for years to come.
