Discover the exquisite, untouched wilderness of the Xudum concession found in a secluded corner of the Okavango Delta. Tucked away on the Matsebi river system, Mokolwane enjoys uninterrupted views across open flood plains, Mokolwane palms, and waterhole.
As the only camp for miles, Mokolwane is the perfect place to embrace stillness and rest. Admire the greater concession on morning and evening game drives and enjoy the varying ecosystems and diverse wildlife. Back at camp, and the comfort of your private deck, take a moment to appreciate the safari giants on your doorstep as hoards of elephants make their way to the waterhole. The concession also enjoys the third highest density of leopard in Africa just waiting to be spotted as well as an endless array of aviary species; a twitcher’s paradise.
Mokolwane’s intimate setup lends itself perfectly to exclusive use, but also welcomes couples and families on their own adventure. Discover 200,000 hectares of open grasslands, lagoons, and mopane forests filled with African wild cats, giraffe, zebra, antelopes, aardwolf, and wild dogs to name a few. With such a vast space filled with wildlife wonder and action, it’s almost no surprise that National Geographic and Netflix filmmaker Brad Bestelink chose to base himself here.

Facilities
Tucked away in the shadow of several trees are the long-stemmed structures that comprise Mokolwane. Each room is raised around 3m (10 feet) above the ground with a separate communal area complete with sitting and dining area. After your evening meal, make your way to the warming firepit and exchange stories or admire the starlit sky.
Morning and evening game drives provide ample opportunities to venture out and discover diverse ecosystems and exciting wildlife sightings. There may not be any ‘traditional’ electricity, but solar power and a backup generator are more than adequate. Wi-Fi is also available throughout the camp.
Dining
Every meal at Mokolwane includes a private show thanks to an elevated lounge and dining area that provides the perfect viewpoint to watch the world, and wildlife, go by. Sit back, relax and enjoy wholesome meals at your leisure.
A communal dining area offers a space to engage with the rest of your party, if exclusively booked, or with other likeminded travelers. Tea and coffee making facilities are provided in each tent if you’re craving a slow morning on your private deck – keep your binoculars on hand and an eye on the horizon, you never know what wildlife are around.
